Health issues...blah blah blah.....

For all hanging on with baited breath.

Saw my doctor today. He thinks it was more like an allergic reaction. A severe one. He is setting me up for allergy testing now.

After visiting him, mom and I went and dropped my large jug of pee of at the hospital lab and then had lunch at the cafeteria. The fun never ends!

Then it was time for my Echocardiagram thingie. That only took about 20 minutes as I am on the 'fast track!'

The tech thought everything looked fine.

Wednesday night I get to drink an inhuman amount of orange flavoured Barium and then starve my self till 2:20 the following day, when they will do CAT on my abdomen.

Next week I meet with the specialist to go over the results.

I actually feel totally fine today. I am terrified to eat anything. Maybe this is the way I will finally lose weight.

My mom was happy that I had her along today. She has been very worried and at least seeing today that I was fine and the doctors were paying attention was a relief. Plus it was nice to spend 'quiet' time with her.

On a totally unrelated note. Thanks to Chris at Blog-Op I have had the confidence to play with my hosting co's control panel and Fantastico and uploaded WordPress all by myself. Now he has explained how to use FileZilla and so next I will be playing with loading up new themes. Very excilarating.

Thanks Chris. It is a nice feeling to learn new things. I can totally see why people like Wordpress so much.

I'm glad you're okay, Crunch. Now maybe the two of us can restart the New Year and roar into January like we should have.

Mmmmm orange flavored barium!

Good to know you're feeling better. I hope they find whatever caused your attack and that it isn't anything serious.

I hope it turns out to be something minor.

Dieting is no fun is it? I'm now in major deprivation mode to lose the holiday weight. Ugh! So who knows, maybe this will be good in a backhanded sort of way.

No, it isn't is it?

Frick, CC. I hope that beers make it into the prescrip/recouperation. Don't let the allergy testers get anywhere near Hops or Barley. You don't need to get all conflicted on that.

That post from yesterday BTW, slam dunk

Glad to hear things aren't quite as bad as you had originally thought.

And 'ewwww' to the orange stuff - it sounds horrible.

Glad things are looking better - enjoy the barium ;-)

Can't wait to see your new site - WP is excellent.

So happy the C word has fallen aside! Sorry if it's allergies since it can be quite annoying giving up foods you've enjoyed all your life--but still way better than the alternatives you were looking at.
Barium. Been there, done that and it helps to stay fascinated with the technology involved.
Thanks for the update!

oh now honey that IS good news! i remember a time a long time ago i had just the MOST embarassing moment, well i guess i have had a few, but this particular one sort of fits in here. i was eighteen, pregnant (i thought) and in for my first ever gyn. now this would have been 1965. were you born yet? probably not, anyway, they told me to bring my first urine of the day with me. off i go with my mayonnaise jar almost half full of pee and set it down on the table next to all the other girls with their dainty little tiny pee cups. sigh... now if you are a REAL good girl i MIGHT tell you what happened next, and it was even more embarassing. bee

Doctors, tests, barium...

Ugh.

Yes, I’m running a bit late today.

I spent the better part of this morning dressed in sackcloth, my face covered in ashes as I beat myself about the head and shoulders with reeds in mourning for the Buckeyes...

I’m better now that the doctors have given me the shot.

It's good to "know" what you're allergic to so you can avoid those things as much as possible. Annoying, yes, but still better than dealing with cancer treatment. Hope you get better soon!
