It is with heavy heart that I report..

the passing of Sammy the fish.

Now I am all guilt ridden that I didn't take enough care of him.
He was fed every day..but I would forget the change a bit of the water weekly thing and so we had to really clean out the tank as it got sooo icky.

It really was the wrong tank for a betta anyway.

A moment of silence if you please for a fine fish.

Hey Crunch and family, betas are really hard, high-maintenance sorts. I'm very sorry about Sammy, and more sorry about Adam's little heart.
But truly, no guilt if you kept him alive more than a few weeks.

well that is certainly bad news. so sorry honey. all my pets are virtual, it is so much easier. i can go on cruises and never have to worry about them. i just post them on my blog and there they are looking at me. hugs for the fishy though..... bee

a fish, ends his life
the better all for knowing
out to sea, at peace.

My condolences on the passing of Sammy the fish. I myself have lost many fish. It is never easy. I've even had people make fun of me for getting sad. Just because you can't pet it does not mean that it isn't part of the family.

I'm shocked.

He hardly had time to make much of a splash...

Oh boy, pet deaths are tough with kids.

Oh no, did you give it the royal flush or a simple burial?
My dad is obsessed with fish, he has a large tank with lake malawi cichlids and some of them died this week. He was not happy.

Claire, we are awaiting a burial once the snow fall here clears.

I think actually that Adam has forgotten that his friend is in a box in a ziplock back in the fridge right now...eewwww.

We are going to take him to a movie this afternoon to cheer him up.

And thanks for visiting...

i did a quick visit to you and will be back...I did that Johari thing a while back and it was really interesting.

Awwww... Did you flush him?

Oh no, poor Sammy!

We tried the fish thing once when the girls were little. They thought he/she/they might be thirsty and decided to share some of their orange juice.

Turns out beta's don't like OJ much.

Thanks for the quick visit! i think you should do the flush while he is sleeping. Then could tell him the fish fairy/angel came and got him! it works with teeth!
