Inside Adams Brain No. 1

Sigh. Due to the holidays and so on we have had a hard time getting Adam back to a decent bed time routine.

The other night he wanted to stay up a little longer and we said ok, but only if he was quiet and watched the show with us. This was impossible for our hyper active little boy.

Dad switched the tv off and said we might as well leave if he was going to keep it up.

Adam: Go ahead. You two go out. Go have dinner or something.

Dad: Really? You want us to go?

Adam: Yep. I can get Caity to bed. We will be fine.

Dad: You want to stay here on your own.

Adam: Yes....just go.

Me: So, you would rather us leave you alone in the house than even remotely try to stay quiet for longer than two minutes?

Adam: Yep.

I know a creature like that, and his name is Patrick...

I love it when they come up with something like this: You don't know whether to kiss them or kick them! ;-)

Ooooh, I just noticed you are reading the Raymond Feist Magician series. Have you read it before? It is soooo good. It's absolutely one of my favorites.

Yes I read them before but really like them and I feel like reading the whole lot from the beginning.

One of the great things about writing down the stuff our kids say is later (sometimes much later) we can go back and realize how funny they were.

I love the stuff your little guy says, he is one smart kid!

Whew! Lost you for a few days and kept getting offered minipillows and such instead of pragmatic observations on life and parenting! As for Adam, he clearly has everyone's best interests at heart, even if his dreams (putting Caity to bed so you two can have a nice evening)exceed his current stature.
